This territory, known for its mountainous landscapes and temperate climate, occupies a central place on the famous Ruta de las Flores, a tourist route that crosses areas rich in biodiversity and tradition. In this region, agriculture is the mainstay of the local economy, and coffee has held the leading position for several generations.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"745\" data-end=\"1105\">From the outset, it&#039;s important to remember that coffee growing in Apaneca is much more than an agricultural activity. It represents a true cultural identity, passed down from family to family and deeply rooted in daily life. This transmission is accompanied by patient know-how, which combines rigorous practices and respect for the terroir.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1107\" data-end=\"1491\">Additionally, coffee production contributes significantly to the economic and social development of the area. It generates numerous direct and indirect jobs, particularly during the harvesting season, from November to March. During this period, farms and cooperatives employ a significant workforce, providing essential income for many families.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1493\" data-end=\"1818\">Furthermore, coffee growing stimulates a number of small local businesses: village cafes, producer cooperatives, craft workshops, and tourism-related businesses. Thus, coffee growing extends beyond the agricultural sector to irrigate the entire economic fabric and strengthen social cohesion.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1820\" data-end=\"2273\">Finally, the Los Naranjos project perfectly illustrates this vitality. It demonstrates the balance between tradition and modernity.
