Description

Oromo Citro is a specialty coffee from Ethiopia, produced in the iconic Yirgacheffe region, considered one of the historic birthplaces of Arabica coffee. Artisanally roasted by MAHA Coffee Roaster in Dijon, this Ethiopian coffee offers a floral, elegant and bright cup, particularly suited to gentle brewing methods such as V60, Chemex or AeroPress.

This lot is produced by a family-run exporter established for many years in the Sidama and Yirgacheffe regions. A historic player in Ethiopian specialty coffee, Oromo Citro is one of the pioneering companies that helped develop high-quality coffees for the international specialty coffee market.

The company now has its own processing mill and quality control laboratory, allowing it to monitor each stage of production with precision. With a team of 54 permanent employees and more than 140 seasonal workers, Oromo Citro ensures rigorous work both in cherry selection and post-harvest processing.

The coffees are harvested at high altitude in areas known for their exceptional climate conditions and rich soils. This combination of altitude, terroir and expertise produces Ethiopian coffees that are particularly complex and expressive.

In the cup, Oromo Citro reveals a delicate and aromatic profile with lively yet balanced acidity, a silky texture and great aromatic clarity. Expect notes of citrus, white flowers and yellow fruits, with a clean and lingering finish.

This Ethiopian specialty coffee will especially appeal to lovers of floral and precise coffees looking for the typical identity of the great Yirgacheffe terroirs. Available as whole beans or ground, it can be brewed as filter coffee or as a light espresso to highlight its full aromatic complexity.
